Long distance move contract

Moving Services

The Moving Company agrees to provide long-distance moving services to transport the Client's belongings from [134 Clarendon] to [116 Connaught Crescent, Regina, SK] , Canada.
The Moving Company shall exercise due diligence and care in handling the Client's belongings during the entire moving process.

Scheduling and Rescheduling

1. The Client agrees to adhere to the agreed-upon moving schedule, including the designated pickup and delivery dates.


2. In the event that the Client needs to reschedule the moving dates, they must provide written notice to the Moving Company at least [3 weeks] prior to the originally scheduled dates. The Moving Company will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the rescheduled dates, subject to availability.


3. If the Client fails to provide the required notice for rescheduling, the Moving Company reserves the right to charge an administrative fee of $500 and may adjust the agreed-upon rates to account for any inconvenience or additional expenses incurred.

Delays

1. The Moving Company shall make every reasonable effort to adhere to the agreed-upon pickup and delivery dates. However, the Parties acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, traffic congestion, natural disasters, governmental actions, or other circumstances beyond the Moving Company's control, may cause delays.


2. In the event of any delays in pickup or delivery, the Moving Company shall promptly notify the Client and provide updated estimated arrival times.


3. The Parties agree that the Moving Company shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from delays caused by circumstances beyond their control.

Payment

1. The Client agrees to pay 50% of the total agreed-upon amount upon pickup and the remaining 50% upon delivery of the belongings to the destination.


2. In addition to the payment terms mentioned above, the Client shall pay a non-refundable deposit of $1000 upon signing this Contract, which will be applied towards the total cost of the moving services.

Unloading

1. The Client acknowledges and agrees to be present or assigned a trusted representative at the destination address when the Moving Company's crew arrives for unloading the belongings. .


2. In the event of the Client's / representative’s absence or delay in being present for unloading, the Moving Company reserves the right to charge a fee of $500 per day as compensation for additional waiting time and any resulting inconvenience or expenses incurred.

Right to Cancel

1. The Moving Company reserves the right to cancel the move at any time if the Client fails to comply with any of the conditions stated in this Contract.


2. In the event of cancellation by the Moving Company due to the Client's failure to meet the stated conditions, any payments made by the Client, including the non-refundable deposit, shall be forfeited by the Client.

Agreement

This Contract and the company Moving policy agreement represents the entire agreement between the Parties and supersedes any prior oral or written agreements or understandings.
